I read a quote recently that said:
"Dogs come in our lives to teach us how to love, they depart to teach us about loss".
After reading this I could not stop thinking about all the amazing senior dogs I have met since starting my pet photography journey.
It was not long ago that I had no clue that end of life pet photography was even a thing. After doing a bunch of research about all things photography, I came across all the amazing pet photographers all over the world. This quickly led me to the impact of end of life pet photography and The Tilly Project. For those that don't know, The Tilly Project is a website that was created specifically for pet loss. The website has resources to help pet owners through the grief process which is where you can locate photographers all over the world that offer End of Life sessions. Now that I have had the opportunity to learn more about this website and all these resources available for pet owners, I love spreading the word about these services to all animals loves, just in case they need a reason to go out and capture some special moments with their furry family members.
Since I started offering these sessions, I have met some of the best dogs all over Maryland! In most cases the humans reach out because they have a senior dog that is slowing down and getting close to crossing the rainbow bridge. Other times pet owners reach out because they just received a devastating diagnosis from the vet and they want to capture some special moments together before they start any treatment/decline. No matter what the reason is, you can clearly see the love these humans share with their pet through each picture. I am so honored to be able to provide these services for pet owners and I hope it can ease the pain of losing your furry family member by knowing you have these pictures to hold on to forever.
Here are some of the amazing families I have had the privilege of working with:
